Wednesday November 8th All Saints, Margaret Street, London. 10.30am – 4.00pm
Discipleship means learning. The need to teach Christian life and faith in our parishes and communities has never been more urgent.
This study day on catechesis will address the need to hold together the content of Christian theology with the practice of the Christian life, and will explore the ways in which closer theological engagement both depends upon and enriches the mission of the church.
It is led by priest-theologians from the new School of Theology being formed from the Anglo-Catholic parish of St Mary Magdalen, Oxford.
There will be three addresses, each followed by discussion:
The Revd Dr Jarred Mercer “Beginning Catechesis”
The Revd Dr Jonathan Jong “Discipleship: the life of faith”
The Revd Dr Melanie Marshall “Doctrine: teaching, preaching, living”
